Elbow Bread

My final mention of the Court Street Grocers empire is Elbow Bread, the Lower East Side bakery they opened in collaboration with baker Zoë Kanan. I’ve tried several pastries from Elbow — many with Jewish influences, including babka knots, challah buns, and rugelach — and have been impressed every time. My Big Night coworker Eva also recently raved about the EBBB, a sandwich on sourdough black bread with crispy walnut butter, cream cheese, and dates. Must try.
